Christina L. Marino, DVM, DACVIM (SAIM)
Dr. Christina L. Marino received her veterinary degree from The Ohio State University and is an avid Buckeye (O-H!). After veterinary school, she completed a small animal rotating internship at North Carolina State University, followed by a small animal internal medicine residency at the University of Pennsylvania. In 2016, she became a board certified Small Animal Internist by the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine. She has worked for multiple specialty hospitals including academic teaching hospitals as an internist and ultrasonographer, as well as at general and emergency practices as a wellness and emergency veterinarian because she really does enjoy all aspects of veterinary medicine.
She started her own mobile business in 2017, Small Animal Veterinary Specialists, providing mobile internal medicine consultations and diagnostics to general and emergency practices in all places she has lived - her most favorite was New York City. She has lectured locally for general and emergency practices, state veterinary medical conferences, and destination continuing education sites ensuring a fun atmosphere for learning. She has published many scientific papers and is actively engaged in research with urolithiasis and thyroid disease, always trying to test new theories for diagnostics and treatment of her patients. While she likes all things in veterinary medicine, including surgery (say what?!), her passion lies with feline medicine, bone marrow diseases, intestinal dysbiosis, and anything with the kidneys. When not in the clinic, she enjoys spending time with her husband and their 3 cats, cooking, playing video games with her husband, travelling, and watching anything that will make her laugh.
